On June 1, 2018, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian visited the Gevorgian Theological Seminary where he met with the seminarians. Holding conversations with the students, Archbishop Derderian commended their commitment to advancing their religious education and steadfastness in their ancestral Christian Faith.Â
“For nearly 150 years, The Gevorgian Theological Seminary has enlightened the spirituality of the Armenian people with educated and well prepared graduates who have become gracious shepherds of Christ’s flock throughout the world. It is spiritually enriching to attest to the God-pleasing mission which is being realized within these blessed walls,” said Archbishop Derderian.
His Eminence extended his wholehearted gratitude to the supervisors and the administrative staff for their Christian spirit in instilling the divine love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the hearts of the future leaders of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
During his trips to Armenia, the Diocesan Primate regularly visits seminarians, offering pastoral guidance and support to the next wave of graduates. His Eminence donates religious, liturgical and historical books to the seminaries for the educational advancement of the future shepherds of Christ’s flock.
