Holy Apostles Armenian Church Celebrates Fr. Avedis Abovian’s 10Th Anniversary Of Ordination

Holy Apostles Armenian Church of La Crescenta celebrated the Rev. Fr. Avedis Abovian’s 10^th anniversary of ordination and consecration into the sacred order of the priesthood with a gala banquet on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

More than 200 faithful attended the celebration which was held in the church hall. Diocesan clergy including His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Diocesan, Primate, Archpriest Fr. Manoug Markarian, Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan and the Rev. Fr. Aram Mirzoyan, visiting clergy from Armenia participated in the gala banquet.

In his remarks, Fr. Avedis reflected on the spiritual satisfaction he has received from the decade of pastoral service. The young priest thanked the Almighty for the courage and strength required to serve the flock of Christ with steadfastness and expressed his gratitude to the Primate for his guidance and support throughout the years.   

In recognition of his decade-long pastoral service and as a token of his gratitude, the Primate presented Fr. Avedis a hand-cross and wished him years of committed service to the flock of Christ and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
