A Decade Of Pastoral Service: Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan’s 10Th Anniversary Of Ordination To The Priesthood

On June 17, 2018, the Cathedral Parish of the Western Diocese celebrated Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan’s 10^th anniversary of ordination and consecration into the Priesthood. Fr. Khajag, who was ordained by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Primate of the Western Diocese on May 29, 2008, was entrusted to lead the Cathedral parish immediately after his ordination.

The celebratory event commenced with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy by Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan, in the service presided by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Diocesan Primate. Following the service, the parishioners of St. Leon Armenian Cathedral joined the Primate and the Shahbazyan family in the Hampar Family Room to mark the milestone event in the life of the young priest. The reception was organized by the Cathedral’s Ladies Society.  

Fr. Khajag has served in the Western Diocese since 2003.
