Ladies Society Central Council To Host Town Hall Meeting At The Western Diocese In August

The Ladies Society Central Council will host a Town Hall meeting on August 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral of the Western Diocese.

The Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian will preside over the meeting.

Ladies Society members of the Western Diocese are encouraged to attend the town hall meeting prepared with specific topics and questions pertaining to their parishes, adherence to their Christian faith, as well as their daily personal lives.

“Our newly Central Council is eager to continue in the cooperative tradition of our previous boards who stressed open and helpful communication amongst Ladies Society organizations in our parishes,” said Chairlady Gladys Saroyan.  

Regional meetings in Central Valley as well as Bay Area parishes are planned to be held in the upcoming months.  

The executive board has also created a Ladies Society Facebook group page Ladies' Society Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America  It is open to all Armenian women who share in the value of the Christian faith and culture.

“The Armenian Church and its organizations have remained steadfast throughout the many trials and tribulations that the whole world has endured and continues to endure,” Saroyan said. “They represent our own oasis of refuge and peace.”
