St. Apkar Armenian Church of Scottsdale, Arizona held a banquet on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in celebration of the 9th anniversary of consecration of the church and the 50th birthday celebration of the Parish Priest the Rev. Fr. Zacharia Saribekyan.
St. Apkar, the only Armenian Apostolic Church in Arizona, was consecrated on September 20, 2009. The Groundblessing Ceremony was presided by His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, in 2005. The Church was consecrated by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese.
