On November 11, 2018, the Diocesan Primate attended a concert dedicated to the legendary Komitas Vardapet. Held at the Lanterman Auditorium in La Canada, the concert was produced by Karine Nikolian and featured the Karavan Dance Studio under the directorship of Edgar Nikolian and the Sound of Children Choir of St. Peter Armenian Church of Van Nuys conducted by Silvia Kavoukjian.
In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian reflected on the immense contribution of Komitas Vardapet to the overall enrichment of the Armenian Christian identity. The Primate commended the organizers and the participants, encouraging them to uphold the sacred cultural traditions that we commonly hold in reverence. Â Â Â Â
