Christmas Eve Celebration At The Cathedral

In the tradition of the Christmas Season, an evening of spiritual hymns, carols and prayers were offered at the St. Leon (Ghevontyants) Armenian Cathedral on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the invitation of the Diocesan Primate, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. 

The Cathedral choir celebrated the season with their angelic voices. Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan, Parish Priest at the Cathedral, offered his warm wishes for the season. Fr. Vazken Movsesian shared the Christmas message in a homily about the need to "look into the manger and see the Light." 

His Eminence Abp. Hovnan shared the blessings of the day with the faithful. In recognition of the exceptional voices and talents of the choir, it was announced that the following Sunday, December 30, His Eminence would be honoring the choir by naming their humble offering of song and praise. 

The evening concluded with spirits uplifted and lighting candles from the "light of the manger."
