Blessing Of The Water Service At Glendale Adventist Medical Center

Dozens including hospital staff, local officials, members of law enforcement and patients, gathered in the west lobby of Glendale Adventist Medical Center on Friday, January 4, 2019 as the Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, accompanied by the Rev. Fr. Yeremia Khachatryan and the Rev. Fr. Vatche Hayrapetyan performed the Blessing of the Water Service.  

On behalf of the Diocesan Primate, the Very Rev. Fr. Dajad expressed his wholehearted gratitude to the Glendale Adventist Medical Center Executive Board led by President and CEO Alice Issai, the physicians, nurses, and staff for the kindness, compassion, and humility with which they serve.

In the Armenian tradition, the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany commemorates not only the birth of Christ, but also His baptism by John the Baptist. The latter is remembered through the “Blessing of the Water” service.
