Christian Education Council Holds Lenten Workshops

The Christian Education Council (CEC) continues its dedicated service to providing an excellent religious and cultural education for the Sunday Schools of the Western Diocese.

Part of CEC’s commitment is to provide workshops across the Diocese throughout the school year so that we can reach as many Sunday school children, teachers, superintendents, and other church leaders as we possibly can.

The CEC held Lenten Workshops at the parishes listed below:

Sunday, Marcy 10 – St. Paul Armenian Church of Fresno

Sunday, March 24 – St. Peter Armenian Church of Van Nuys

Sunday, March 31 – St. Vartan Armenian Church of Oakland

UPCOMING LENTEN WORKSHOP

Sunday, April 7 - Burbank

Students and Sunday school leaders all joined together in a special activity day to learn about the important events that took place on Maundy Thursday.  Everyone participated in a “Khavaroom” vigil service, designed for this age group and led by Gail Chelebian, CEC Chair, and all students, young and old, had their Foot Washed by Fr. Krikor Zakaryan, CEC Clergy Lead and Parish Priest in Rancho Mirage.
