Newly Ordained And Consecrated Bishop Daniel Findikyan Celebrates The Divine Liturgy At St. Vartan Cathedral In New York

On Saturday, May 18, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian participated in a special Divine Liturgy at St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral in New York. The day’s celebrant was the newly-ordained and consecrated His Grace Bishop Daniel Findikyan, Primate of the Easter Diocese of the Armenian Church. His Grace was ordained and consecrated last week as a bishop of the Armenian Church in Holy Etchmiadzin, by the hand of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

The service was broadcast live online and has been archived for later viewing.

Later in the evening, Archbishop Derderian met with Mr. Berge Setrakian, President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU). Renovation efforts of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin were discussed during the meeting.
