Primate Celebrant At St. James Armenian Church Of Sacramento

On May 19, 2019, His Eminence Abp. Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. James Armenian Apostolic Church of Sacramento on the auspicious occasion of the 66th Anniversary of its consecration.

To common knowledge, this year also marks the centennial of the first Armenian family moving to Sacramento to work at the cannery.

His Eminence commended the pastoral leadership of the Rev. Fr. Yeghishe Ksachikyan, recognized the founders of the church and encouraged the current members of the parish council to continue their God-pleasing service to the church as the community looks ahead to expanding its mission by acquiring a new property in the near future.
