Gusd’s Flag Program Students Remember The Legacies Of Komitas Vardapet And Hovhannes Tumanyan

At the invitation of the Diocesan Primate, more than 250 students from Glendale Unified School District’s FLAG Armenian Program from R.D. White and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School presented an outstanding cultural program at the Nazareth and Sima Kalaydjian Hall of the Western Diocese dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Komitas Vardapet and Hovhannes Tumanyan.

In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian commended the presenters and teachers for their immense work in ensuring the preservation of the Armenian Christian identity in the Diaspora, calling upon them to continue to strive for educational excellence and the enrichment of our cultural heritage.
