His Excellency Mr. Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America, paid his first official visit to the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Ambassador Nersesyan was accompanied by His Excellency Armen Baibourtian, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles and His Excellency and Counselor Varazdat Pahlavuni.
The guests were greeted by Archpriest Fr. Manoug Markarian and Dn. Harout Markarian, the Executive Director of the Western Diocese. In a meeting with the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, avenues of collaboration between the institutions as well as various issues related to the Republic of Armenia, the Diaspora and Artsakh were discussed.
