Primate Visits Campers In Week 3

Accompanied by the Very Rev. Fr. Zacharia Baghumyan, Director of the Bishops’ Synod’s Office of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan and two young students from Armenia, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America visited the campers at Hye Camp this week.

Diocesan Council Vice Chair Mr. Derik Ghookasian and the Rev. Fr. Zaven Markosyan, the Rev. Fr. Hovel Ohanyan, and the Rev. Fr. Serovbe Alanjian were the clergy who were present at camp. 

The Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was the main theme of the Primate’s message to the campers on July 29, 2019, week 3 of the Summer Camp. His Eminence encouraged the youth to embrace the significance of the tabernacle feast, calling upon them to transfigure their lives through prayer and God-pleasing deeds.
