AACCWD Chairman Sevag Derderian partook in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy with the Saint Apkar Church Choir on Sunday, July 28, 2019. During his visit, he provided updates on the music education curriculum, digital liturgical publications, 2019 Convention & Assembly, and held a workshop with choir members after services.
This was Sevag Derderian's last official visit to the Arizona parish as Chairman of the AACCWD. To date, Derderian has travelled over 10,000 miles across the Western Diocese to strengthen ties with church choirs, parishes, music organizations and weave the thread of sacred music among our vast AACCWD community. At the 2019 Convention & Assembly (November 8-10), Sevag Derderian will conclude his tenure as Chairman of the AACCWD and pass the baton to the next group of dedicated sacred music scholars and volunteers.
