Armenian School Principals, Teachers And Religious Instructors Meet At The Diocesan Headquarters

On Monday, September 9, the principals, teachers and religious instructors of the AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian, the AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian and Alfred and Marguerite Hovsepian Schools, held a meeting at the Diocesan Headquarters in Burbank.

Diocesan Clergy Archpriest Fr. Shnork Demirjian (visiting pastor of AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School), Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Petoyan (religious instructor of Hovsepian School and visiting pastor of AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian School) and Diocesan Staff Mr. Mashdots Jobanian, Director of the Christian Education Department of the Western Diocese, Mr. Hayk Madoyan, Librarian and Ecumenical Officer, Mr. Norayr Poghosyan, Diocesan Archivist and Mr. Vahe Sargsyan, Head of TV and Media Department and Superintendent of St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral’s Sunday School, participated in the meeting which was presided by the Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian.

Thoughts and ideas were exchanged in order to further develop and strengthen the religious education curriculum of the schools through the implementation of religious education workshops, specially designed youth-based programs, educational competitions and other activities.
