Hundreds of faithful took part in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at St. Leon Armenian Cathedral on Sunday, January 5, 2020 on the eve of the Nativity and Theophany of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The service, which was preceded by scriptural readings, was presided by Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Diocesan Primate.
The Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan, the Cathedral’s Pastor was the celebrant and homilist on the eve of the feast.
On behalf of the Parish Council and the auxiliary bodies of the Cathedral Parish, Fr. Khajag congratulated the Primate and the entire faithful on the occasion of the Miraculous Birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
At the conclusion of the service, the faithful took part in a candle-lighting service where they received the light (News) of the Miraculous Birth of Christ from the clergymen.
