New Year Begins At St. Leon Armenian Cathedral With Prayer Service

As is customary at the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church, the faithful of the Western Diocese participated in a prayer service led by Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, with the participation of the Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan, Pastor of St. Leon Armenian Cathedral.

Gathering at St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral, the spiritual of the Western Diocese, at 12:30 a.m., the faithful received the New Year’s blessings and well wishes of the clergy. At 10:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day, more than 150 faithful participated in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral.
