The Western Diocese hosted representatives of Armenian organizations earlier this week.


On Monday, February 10, the Executive Committee of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (US Western Region) led by Dr. Raffi Balian visited the Western Diocese and met with His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Diocesan Primate. During the meeting, various issues related to collaboration between the ADLP and the Western Diocese were discussed.
In the afternoon, the Primate welcomed the Executive Council of the Armenian Ecclesiastical Brotherhood to the Western Diocese.  This year will mark the Armenian Ecclesiastical Brotherhood’s 140th anniversary.Â

On Tuesday, February 11, the Executive Committee of the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry led by ABMDR President Dr. Frieda Jordan paid a cordial visit to the Western Diocese. In a meeting with the Primate, Dr. Jordan informed His Eminence about the current and future activities of the registry. On Sunday, March 29, during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral, a special prayer for the God-pleasing mission of the ABMDR will be offered.
Members of the Friends of Providence St. Joseph Committee visited the Western Diocese and met with the Primate on Tuesday, February 11. Presently, Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is undergoing expansion of the medical center’s facilities. Friends of Providence St. Joseph was founded in August 2019 aimed at educating the community and raising awareness of the God-pleasing mission of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. A special prayer for the mission of St. Joseph Medical Center will be offered on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.
