Revival Of The Christian Mission Of The Western Diocese

On Monday, February 10, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Diocesan Primate, presided over the first meeting of the year with Diocesan Committee Chairs to revisit the vitality of leading our community to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Committee Chairs in attendance included Hayk Madoyan, Vahe Sargsyan, Mashdots Jobanian, Dcn. Nareg Kasian, Fr. Vazken Movsesian, Fr. Serovpe Alanjian, Dr. Ellie Andreassian, Gail Chelebian, and Victoria Amran.

During the meeting, each chairperson had the opportunity to voice their current ongoing challenges, objectives for the new year, and areas of needed improvement. Archbishop Derderian actively guided the committee to focus on efforts to enrich the spiritual life of the faithful.  

Throughout the course of the meeting, the participants revisited the importance active collaboration among the internal committees, the changes needed for incremental growth in every program, and the immense significance of family involvement within the living church.

As Archbishop Hovnan Derderian stated, “Our Christian Families are the core of our diocese. We are held with the responsibility to assure stability of our mission within our homes and our churches.” As the meeting came to conclusion, the Committee Chairs departed prepared to conduct, plan, and execute a multitude of retreats, events, and new projects proposed for this year.
