From March 3-6, 2020, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian participated in the Supreme Spiritual Council meeting which held under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
On March 7, His Eminence travelled to Almelo, Netherlands on a two-day visit to encourage the local Armenian community’s involvement in the renovation of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin. Archbishop Derderian was welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Pontifical Legate of the Armenian Church in Western Europe, and Representative of the Armenian Church to the Holy See.
On March 7, with the participation of benefactors and representatives of Armenian organizations, the Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, participated in a reception benefitting the Mother Cathedral’s ongoing renovation efforts.
On the following day, Archbishop Derderian delivered the homily at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church of Almelo.
