Humanitarian Fund For Lebanon Established At The Western Diocese

On Tuesday, the horrific video footage of the explosion in Beirut and the catastrophic images of the devastation in the city streets was broadcast to the world. The sheer destruction came at a time when Lebanon was already battling a pandemic and was amidst an economic crisis.

The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America joins the outpouring of worldwide support for Lebanon in the country’s rebuilding efforts. A Humanitarian Fund for Lebanon has been established at the Western Diocese. All incoming donations to the Western Diocese for the relief efforts will be allocated to the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.

We pray for the souls of the innocent civilians who lost their lives as a result of the massive explosion. The thousands who were gravely wounded are in our prayers. May the Holy Spirit comfort and console those who are in mourning.
