On the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, more than 100 faithful celebrated the Badarak at the Armenian Apostolic Church of Ventura County. Following the Divine Liturgy, parishioners enjoyed a luncheon while author, Dawn Anahid MacKeen discussed her research and book,The Hundred Year Walk. During a question/answer session, those in attendance were moved to raise their own family experiences during the genocide. Ms. MacKeen, in attendance with her mother, is the niece of a choir member. She graciously signed her books and continued speaking with parishioners long after the luncheon ended.
