In the first few days of April, bordering villages in Artsakh and Armenia were subject to military aggression by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. Armenians around the world united in the defense efforts of our ancestral homeland.
The people of Artsakh are in need of volunteers and FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.
As an instantaneous response to providing aid to the Homeland, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian immediately established the “Humanitarian Fund for Artsakh.” The Primate’s call to support our brothers and sisters in Artsakh was answered with resounding empathetic response as a number of community leaders and benefactors courageously stepped forward to pledge their support for Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia. To this day, $400,000 has been transferred to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to assist the families of the fallen soldiers and those who have been severely wounded.
At the Primate’s directive, Diocesan Parishes are actively involved in the fundraising efforts.
Extending a helping hand to our compatriots through the “Humanitarian Fund for Artsakh” is critical and time is of the essence.
Let us collectively join the efforts of securing a prosperous Artsakh and Armenia!
