Feast Of The Nativity And Theophany Of Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ Celebration At St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral

On January 6, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of Christ, our Lord. At St. Leon Armenian Cathedral, the service was livestreamed on the Facebook page of the Western Diocese.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were His Excellency Armen Baibourtian, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles; Mr. Derik Ghookasian Vice-Chair of the Diocesan Council and Cathedral Godfather and family; the Honorable Ara Abrahamyan, UNESCO Ambassador and President of the Union of Armenians in Russia, Diocesan Grand Benefactor Mr. Aramayis Paronyan; Diocesan benefactors Dr. and Mrs. Vahram and Polina Biricik, Cathedral Godfather Mr. Kevork Zoryan and his family, who joined a multitude of faithful in proclaiming the Miraculous Birth Revelation of Christ.

Mr. Derik Ghookasian served as the Godfather of the Cross during the Blessing of the Water service. Archbishop Derderian commended Mr. Ghookasian's selfless service at the Western Diocese, St. Peter Armenian Church as well as Ararat Home.
