The Alfred and Marguerite Hovsepian School of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Saturday School Program on Saturday, May 15, 2016. Held under the auspices of the Diocesan Primate, the venue of the year-end program and celebratory dinner was Geragos Hall of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church.


In his address to the students, the Primate congratulated the graduating class commending their zealous approach to Armenian education. Archbishop Derderian encouraged and motivated the younger students to renew their commitment to education in the upcoming year. His Eminence also recognized the tireless efforts of Dr. Ellie Antreassian, the Chairlady of the Saturday School Executive Committee of the Western Diocese, the school’s principal Mr. Norair Dadourian, the teachers and well as the volunteers for their invaluable roles of preserving the Armenian identity in the Diaspora.
