The Lark Musical Society rallied its collective musical forces behind internationally acclaimed bass musician, Barseg Tumanyan, for a one-of-a-kind solo concert featuring great opera arias and popular songs. The event took place in the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena on Sunday, May 15, 2014 at 6pm.

Mr. Tumanyan, whose considerable talent has received critical accolades across the globe, is among the brightest stars of Armenian descent on the world Operatic stage. He has delivered memorable performances in the great opera houses from America and Europe to Russia and Japan, most notably in his role as Mephistopheles in Gounod’s Faust. A graduate of Yerevan State Conservatory of Music, he currently holds the top soloist position at the Opera theater of Astana, Kazakhstan.

Lark’s Master Singers, the Large Lark Orchestra, and Soprano Shoushik Barsoumian, joined Mr. Tumanyan to present great works from a career spanning forty years.
