On May 24, 2016 a historic gathering of over one hundred and twenty American, Armenian and Assyrian community leaders took place in Encino, California, in order to honor the heroes of the law enforcement community who keep peace and safety throughout Los Angeles. Â The event was held under the auspices of the President of The Martayan Group, Mr. Greg Martayan. Â
In attendance were Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Koretz, His Eminence Assyrian Cor Bishop of Los Angles George Bet Rasho, representing His Eminence Archbsihop Hovnan Derderian Very Reverend Father Pakrad Berjekian, Chief of Staff to Congressman Brad Sherman Scott Abrams, Chief of Staff to Los Angeles City Councilman Bob Blumenfield Lynn Shaw, as well as many representatives from State and Local government offices and Armenian organizations. Â



The event honored Los Angles Police Department Captains Rafael Rodriguez of West Valley Division and Caprain Cory Palka of Hollywood Division, as well as Captain Denis Cremins of the Burbank Police Department.Â
The Very Rev. Fr. Pakrad Berjekian delivered the closing remarks and ending the reception with a prayer emphasized on serving humanity with humility, courage and grace.
