The groundbreaking ceremony of a senior living community, an expansion to the California Armenian Home, was held on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
The Vicar General of the Western Diocese the Very Rev. Fr. Pakrad Dz. V. Berjekian, participated in the ceremony. Father Berjekian was accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Vartan Kasparian, Archpriest Fr. Yeghia Hairabedian, the Rev. Fr. Zaven Markosyan and Dn. Allan Yeghia Jendian from the San Joaquin Valley as well as the Rev. Fr. Serovbe Alanjian from Los Angeles.

Father Pakrad congratulated the Board of Trustees on the expansion project noting the noble endeavor as a God-pleasing mission.
Currently, about 140 people live at the home, which is made up of skilled nursing and residential spots.
The newest addition will have assisted living, independent living, memory care and cottages like duplexes.
