St. Geragos Armenian Church, in partnership with the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, is pleased to announce the opening of the “New Day” Care Center, a safe and faith-based childcare facility created to serve families in the Las Vegas area.

The construction of the “New Day Care” center is being carried out by GB Construction Group, the same company that built the Saint Geragos Church sanctuary. Those attending the church service can see the progress in the construction, and according to the builders, the project is expected to be completed within about a year.

The “New Day” Care Center will be operated by a licensed and qualified professional under the direct supervision of the Western Diocese and the Parish Priest. The center aims to provide not only high-quality care but also a nurturing environment that fosters spiritual, social, and academic growth.
“This initiative is more than just childcare — it’s about creating a safe, loving, and faith-centered environment where children can thrive,” said Rev. Fr. Sasoon Zumrookhdian, Parish Priest of St. Geragos Armenian Church. “We are dedicated to serving both Armenian and non-Armenian families who are looking for a secure and uplifting place for their children’s early development.”
By opening its doors to the wider community, the “New Day” Care Center embodies the Church’s mission of faith and service, reaching beyond the sanctuary to support families' everyday needs. With the blessing and guidance of the Western Diocese, this center marks a significant step in the parish’s ongoing dedication to strengthening community life.
