Fourth Sunday of the Holy Cross

“Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.” (2 Corinthians 13:11).

In the storms of life and in an ever-changing world, we often forget the value of peace and love. Using modern technologies and social networks, we can simultaneously bring people closer and push them apart-making the world smaller, yet hearts often remain divided. In these circumstances, it is important to remember the power of unity and spiritual guidance-the path that leads to peace and faith.

Today, we live in a world where the reasons for anxiety are increasing day by day. Wars, political conflicts, social divisions, and psychological pressures disturb people's inner peace. Economic difficulties and constant tensions create fear and uncertainty in many hearts, while the loss of trust deepens divisions.

Nevertheless, it is precisely in such times that we feel the greatest need for unity. Togetherness is the strength that can overcome every trial. When we stand side by side not in division, but in love and harmony, true peace begins to flourish in our families, communities, and among nations. Comfort comes when one realizes they are not alone; God is with us in our pains and struggles, and God is always with us.

Unity today has become the greatest scarcity. Technologies, social networks, and ideological divisions often make people feel more distant from one another. Yet without unity, peace becomes an unattainable dream. God desires that we are not isolated individuals, but a great family united in love and harmony. Only in this way can we overcome the challenges before us. Let us always remember that the path of love is the only way to God and eternal peace: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one another” (John 13:35).

Let us remain steadfast in our faith, be comforted by God’s Word, and strive for brotherly unity—sowing peace through our actions and words. May this message remind us that no matter the storms of the world, our trust cannot be taken away; we are called to love, support, and comfort one another, and to live together in harmony. Let us remember that only through love and unity can we overcome all the storms of this world. Let us be comforted, united in brotherhood, and may the God of peace and love always accompany us throughout our lives, according to His paternal promise: “And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
