Grand Sacristan Of The Mother See Celebrant At St. Leon Armenian Cathedral - Visiting Priests Celebrate The Divine Liturgy In Bay Area Churches

His Grace Bishop Hovnan Hakobyan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Leon (Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Bishop Hakobyan was introduced to the parishioners by the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian who presided over the service.
 
Assisting the celebrant bishop at the Holy Altar were the Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan and the Deacons of the Cathedral. The Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian and Archpriest Fr. Sipan Mekhsian participated in the service.
 
A reception in honor of Bishop Hakobyan was held in the Paul Brothers Galleria following the service.  

On Sunday, July 24, the parish family of St. Andrew Armenian Church of Cupertino welcomed the Rev. Fr. Vahram Melikyan, the guest celebrant priest. Father Melikyan serves as the Director of the Information Services Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
 
The Rev. Fr. Paruyr Avetisyan, was the celebrant at St. John Armenian Church in San Francisco on July 24, 2016. The visiting priest is the Director of the Intra-Church Relations Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
