Accomplished writer, Mrs. Asien Surmeian visited the Headquarters of the Western Diocese on Friday, July 29, 2016.
Mrs. Surmeian presented to His Eminence the latest publication of her newest book titled “Blessed Views on Good News.” Archbishop Derderian expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Surmeian wishing her continued success in her literary endeavors.
In his congratulatory letter addressed to the writer, Archbishop Derderian wrote in part: “Despite it being your third language, your mastery of English exemplifies your relentless pursuit of excellence and self-actualization. Throughout your literary journey however, your motive was not the achievement of prominence nor fame. Rather, you echoed the words of the Psalmist "I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever" (Psalm 86:12). We commend your zealous Christian spirit as you use your God-given talent as a writer to touch the hearts of thousands of readers worldwide.
Once again, we congratulate you wholeheartedly on your most recent publication. May the Lord shower you and your loved ones with divine blessings.”
Mrs. Surmeian's weekly articles have been published in the Armenian Observer since 1994.
