Agbu Western Region District Committee Board Visits The Western Diocese

AGBU Western Region District Committee Board members, led by Chairwoman Talin Yacoubian, Esq. visited the Western Diocese on August 8, 2016. In a meeting with the Primate, the board members congratulated His Eminence on obtaining the vote of confidence during the 89^th Annual Diocesan Assembly conveying well wishes to Archbishop Derderian in his ministry. The Primate was also briefed about the upcoming AGBU events and functions. His Eminence commended the Western Region District Committee for remaining loyal to the vision of the founders of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and upholding the values of the exemplary organization.
 
In the western region of the United States, home to more than a million American citizens of Armenian origin, the Armenian General Benevolent Union is headquartered in Pasadena and serves the Armenian community through its chapters; special groups; community centers; two schools with a thousand students; a Saturday school; cultural, artistic, social, and youth-oriented programs such as sports and scouts; a theater company; and a mentorship program.
