For the tenth year, Mr. Nahabed Melkonian, a Jerusalem-born Armenian writer and intellectual led a group of 170 pilgrims to St. Mary Armenian Church in Costa Mesa on Saturday, August 13, the eve of the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God.

Welcoming the pilgrims were Archpriest Fr. Moushegh Tashjian, Pastor of the host parish and the parishioners of St. Mary Armenian Church.

Fr. Moushegh commended the noble initiative of Mr. Melkonian in exceptionally organizing the inspirational pilgrimage. In turn, the pilgrims expressed their wholehearted gratitude to the priest and the family of St. Mary Armenian Church for the warm welcome and gracious hospitality.

The service concluded with the Blessing of the Grapes ceremony which was held on the eve of the tabernacle feast.

The pilgrims were treated to a light reception at the hall of the parish.Â
