The Agape Circle held a meeting at the Diocesan Headquarters on September 20, 2016 to plan the upcoming fundraising luncheon in support of various missions and programs at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The Primate part in the meeting and commended the outstanding leadership of Mrs. Alice Chakrian, the Chairlady of Agape Circle and the selfless service of all members. CHLA’s Vice President of Development Ms. Rita Terterian also took part in the meeting.
The “Agape Circle of the Western Diocese” is a group of dedicated women loyal to the fulfillment of the mission of CHLA. Through a variety of community fundraisers, the Agape Circle has pledged to raise $100,000 for CHLA’s programs and services. To date, $50,000 has been fulfilled. The funds raised have benefitted CHLA’s Vision Center, the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, the Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit, the Literally Healing Program and the Interfaith Center.
The Agape Circle’s 3rd annual fundraising luncheon will be held on November 17, 2016.
