Armenian Community Of Nevada Celebrates Armenia’s 25Th Anniversary Of Independence

Nevada’s Armenian-American community celebrated the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence on October 1, 2016 with an impressive cultural program, organized by the Consulate of Armenia in Las Vegas and Honorary Consul Andy Armenian. Held at the Clark County Library theater, the celebration was attended by hundreds of community members. Among the dignitaries in attendance were Congresswoman Dina Titus (Nevada’s 1^st Congressional District) and His Excellency Grigor Hovhannissian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States and representatives of the Nevada-based consular corps.

The Very Rev. Fr. Sasoon Zumrookhdian, Pastor of St. Geragos Armenian Church of Las Vegas attended the event and extended to the organizers the blessings of the Diocesan Primate.
