On October 1, 2016, the Primate paid a pastoral visit to the Little Angels Saturday School students of St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Leon Armenian Cathedral. Sitting in to observe the classroom environment, Archbishop Derderian also met with the principal and the teachers where he was briefed on the school's overall progress including the curriculum, enrollment and administrative matters.
With an enrollment of over 240 students, the Saturday School is the largest of its kind in the world.
