Mr. Kourken Berksanlar was honored during the service at St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral on Sunday, October 9, 2016. The honoree was presented with the Pontifical Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians and was decorated with the prestigious St. Nerses Shnorhali (the Graceful) medal.
Archbishop Derderian congratulated the honoree and reflected on his years of dedicated and selfless service to the Armenian-American community. His Eminence conveyed his genuine wishes to Mr. Berksanlar and his family.
A reception, organized by the AGBU Asbeds was held in honor of the medal recipient at the Hampar Family Reception Room of the Western Diocese.
