Diocese Welcomes Oriental Orthodox Church Leaders

Spiritual leaders of the Armenian Apostolic, Coptic Orthodox and Syriac Orthodox Churches met on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Hampar Family Room of the Turpanjian Diocesan Building of the Western Diocese.

The spiritual leaders and clergy were greeted at the entrance of the building by the Primate and Diocesan clergy, after which a group photo was taken. The spiritual leaders in attendance were H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, His Grace Bishop Serapion of the Coptic Orthodox Church and H. E. Eugene Kaplan of the Syriac Orthodox Church.

The leaders discussed the participation in joint collaborative events involving the Sunday Schools, youth-related missions as well as religious services. A joint prayer vigil for the Christian community in the Middle East was also discussed.
