St. Paul Armenian Church in Fresno hosted its annual banquet on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Berberian Hall. The parish family received the blessings of the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Derderian who attended the banquet.

Themed “Looking to Our Future,” the event was centered on the youth of the community who put their artistic on display.  Among the participants were the students of the parish’s Saturday School, Sunday School as well as the members of the Junior and Senior ACYO. In all, close to 60 youth attended in the banquet.

In his remarks, the Primate commended the pastoral leadership of the Rev. Fr. Yessai Bedros and the dedication of the auxiliary bodies of the Fresno parish in their firm belief in the young generation. “Tonight, we see the bright faces of the future of our Church. They are the heirs of the sacred traditions and values that have shaped the Armenian family. They will ensure the vivacity of the world's oldest Christian institution,” said Archbishop Derderian in part.
In his message to the parents, His Eminence said “Encourage your children to learn the mother tongue and to attend Sunday School regularly. Pray with your children to establish a closeness with the Almighty, for you are their role models.”Â
