Reclaim is the Theme of Upcoming Youth Conference

Plans are well under way for an unprecedented Youth Rally and Christian Conference, which will take place March 10-12, 2017 at the Western Diocesan Headquarters in Burbank, California.

“Reclaim” is the theme of the event which presents participants with the tools and means to embrace Faith in the changing world.

“For the participant it’s an opportunity to reclaim the ancient Armenian Church as the source for spirituality in our world today,” says Fr. Vazken Movsesian, organizer of the event. “It is also about the church reclaiming her own children – those who have drifted away, left or feel disenfranchised.”

The three-day conference will feature speakers, classes, meditations, service-project, worship services, morning hike and art project during the season of Lent. Every aspect of the conference is to bring attention to the ancient Faith being celebrated in the world today through the Armenian Church.

This conference is under the auspices of Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Diocesan Primate. His Eminence extends a warm invite to everyone, especially college students, young families and young professionals, searchers and seekers, to “Reclaim” their Church. The final day of the conference features a special blessing by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos, who will meet with the participants and celebrate the Divine Liturgy.

This conference is not to be missed. Space is limited on a first-come-first serve basis. The cost for three-days is $125, which includes admission to all events, meals and conference materials. Scholarships and grants are available from your local parish. More information and registration is available at the website www.Embracing-Faith.com or write to info@embracing-faith.com
