At the directive of the Diocesan Primate, parishes across the Western Diocese will hold a Requiem Service (Hokehankist) for the souls of the 25 Christians who were killed as a result of the bombing of the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo on Sunday, December 11, 2016. The blast left 49 people injured who were accepting Holy Communion at the time of the bombing.
On Sunday morning, the Diocesan Primate spoke with His Grace Bishop Serapion, the spiritual leader of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles and expressed his deep condolences on behalf of the Diocesan Council, clergy and faithful on the horrific terrorist attack. Â Â Â
