The Primate's paid his pastoral visit of the year to St. Peter Armenian Church in Glendale on Sunday, January 8, 2017. His Eminence celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon in the little church nestled between two schools in North Glendale. In his message, Archbishop Derderian wished the parishioners a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas. His Eminence extended his gratitude to Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian, a merited priest of the Western Diocese for his dedication and support of St. Peter Armenian Church, the altar servers for their wholehearted service and to Dn. Dr. Hrayr Dekmejian, the Choir Director for the outstanding service rendered to the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Archbishop Derderian officially introduced the Rev. Fr. Yeghia Isayan, the newly appointed Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Church, reflecting on the clergyman's pastoral leadership of the Armenian community in Seattle where the priest had served as the community's Pastor for the last twelve years.
