First Tour Of The Mesrop And Marian Megerdichian Senior Residence With The Primate

On Thursday, January 21, 2016, a few of the senior parishioners of St. Apkar Armenian Church joined in on an initial tour of the Mesrop and Marian Megerdichian Senior Residence. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese was impressed and elated at the progress. During the tour, the group stopped for a moment to listen to James Buzzard explain the process of acquiring the necessary permits. His Eminence stated, the grounds resembled that of a small city. Those present on the tour, were grateful for the prayer given by the Archbishop.  Prior to the tour, Fr. Zacharia Saribekyan had a small surprise for Dr. Harry Demirgian, a Benefactor of St. Apkar Armenian Apostolic Church. Overwhelmed by tears, Dr. Harry, unwrapped the package, realizing that a sign was dedicated in his name. We are so gracious of the generous donation from Dr. Demirgian, “DEMIRGIAN STREET,” will be the main street leading directly to the Megerdichian Senior Residence, upon completion of the site.
