La County Sheriff Jim Mcdonnell Visits The Western Diocese

On Friday, March 19, 2017, LA County Sheriff Jim McDonell visited the Headquarters of the Western Diocese. Sheriff McDonell, who was accompanied by Captain Armen Dermenjian of the Burbank Police Department, met with the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and Diocesan Council Chair Joseph Kanimian, Esq.

Avenues of collaboration between the Western Diocese and the Sheriff’s Department were discussed at length. The establishment of youth-oriented programs aimed at keeping the youth away from drugs and violence were also discussed. 

Archbishop Derderian expressed his gratitude to his esteemed guests for their cordial visit, conveying his keen desire to contribute the Western Diocese’s share in ensuring a safer and more prosperous society.
