Arclar And Armenian Consulate Sign Mou

An MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed on March 3, 2017, in the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia between the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region CEO Jarrett Barrios and His Excellency Valery Mkrtumyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia.  

ARCLAR Board Member Joseph Kanimian, Esq. was instrumental in the signing of the MOU.

The MOU provides a broad framework for cooperation between the two organizations in providing assistance and service to families separated by conflict, migration, disaster or other circumstances and to meet the disaster-caused, emergency needs of the residents and guests of the Los Angeles region. The document also supports the readiness, humanitarian and awareness activities, including sharing information and participating in educational and awareness presentations among other services.
