Throughout the period of the Great Lent, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian visits parishes where he presides over vigils. On March 23, 2017, the Primate accompanied by the Rev. Fr. Vazken Movsesian travelled to Costa Mesa where His Eminence presided over the Mitchink Service at St. Mary Armenian Church. The clergy were welcomed by Archpriest Fr. Moushegh Tashjian, Pastor of the host parish and the Parish Council.
On the following day, Archbishop Derderian presided over the Mitchink service at Holy Apostles Armenian Church in Crescenta Valley.
In his homilies, the Primate encouraged called upon the to beseech God’s divine love and mercy in a journey in which we all prepare to embrace the new life through Christ’s Victorious Resurrection.
