Crows of the Desert Receives Riverside Film Festival Official Selection

The highly acclaimed Armenian Genocide documentary “Crows of the Desert,” was screened at the Riverside Film Festival on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

The a film which recounts the incredible true story of one man’s desperate struggle not only to stay alive but to help save his people from near extinction in the 20th Century’s first genocide. In the midst of the chaos, one man would lead a small expeditionary group on a daring mission to rescue the scattered, destitute survivors of the Armenian Genocide. Along the way, they would risk their lives countless times, endure unimaginable hardships, and cross paths with some of the 20th century’s most legendary figures – like Prince Faisal and Lawrence of Arabia.

Extraordinary rare film footage and photographs, as well as recently rediscovered documents have been gathered from archives around the world to reveal a harrowing journey that is at once heart-wrenching and inspirational.   

“Crows of the Desert” was screened on March 11, 2017 at the First Annual Reclaim Conference at the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America. The film received raving reviews from the audience.
