On April 19, 2017, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Shnork Demirjian and the Rev. Fr. Serovbe Alanjian held a special prayer service for the Groundbreaking of the Garden of Sardarabad at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall.
A small-scale replica of the memorial of the Battle of Sardarabad, will be constructed on the grounds of the Memorial Park in the months ahead.
